We arrived in Hawaii Saturday, November 10 and were greeted by Mission President and Sister Dalton and Elder and Sister Fogt. After dinner the Fogts took us to our apartment. The address is 44-221 B Malae Place, Kaneohe, HI 96744. Our apartment is called a boat house because it is right on the edge of Kaneohe Bay. We look across the bay and see the Marine Base. Every morning we are greeted with reveille and every evening with retreat. Often helicopters are practicing maneuvers over the bay.

This picture was taken at our first district meeting which occurs weekly. We are assigned to work with the Military at Kaneohe Marine Base. We know that there are military personnel in at least three wards and a young single branch. However, the majority of the military members are in one ward and the young single adult branch. We have attended several functions with the young adults. At every function we have found that food is a big attraction, so one of our challenges is not to eat too much. Saturday night we spent six hours at a young adult thanksgiving dinner. There were about 80 people there and we spent a good deal of the time washing dishes and cleaning up. We do enjoy working with these young adults.
